Hyderabad: A stray puppy, about five months old, which was stuck for almost an hour in a hole in the wall of the School of Life Sciences building at University of Hyderabad, was rescued by rescuers from Animal Warriors India on Tuesday.

The rescue operation took about 20 minutes. The rescuers were called in after students noticed the puppy in distress. Pradeep Nair, founder of Animal Warriors India, said that the wall had a lot of holes and the puppy was trying to go through one of them when it got stuck.

“As her skin was soft it was easy for her to get into the hole, but then her head got stuck. We thought of breaking the wall but it was old and could have collapsed and damaged the animal, so we applied coconut oil to her skin and removed her head safely from the wall.”
