Rs 49.8 lakh released to construct driving test track

Transport minister P. Mahender Reddy on Thursday released the funds of  Rs 49.80 lakh for the construction of a driving test track at Bandlaguda Transport Office in Chandrayan Gutta. He inspected the office on Thursday, along with MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi and the joint transport commissioner.


The minister instructed the officials to begin the work immediately to complete it before the stipulated due date. He said that the Telangana government will name the office after the late Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi. He added that with the help of the centre, a new driving training school would be established with a cost of around Rs 18 crore at Sircilla.


The minister said that by establishing driving training schools at every district, the government is making efforts to reduce accidents and keeping the citizens safe on roads.
