Police rescued one girl from brothel house in Yadagirigutta, 2 held

The Yadadri Police along with the Rachakonda Special Operations Team raided a brothel in Yadagirigutta and arrested two human traffickers here late on Sunday. A minor girl was also rescued from flesh trade.The arrested persons were identified as K Hanumanthu and K Rajesh, both brothel organizers from Alair and Yadagirigutta.


According to the police, the duo, taking advantage of the poverty of some families, procured minor girls from K Kumari, a sex worker for Rs 50,000. They kept girls in the brothel house and took care of them until they reach a considerable age to further use them for the flesh trade.


The 16-year-old girl who was rescued was shifted to a rescue home. After making proper enquiry, the traffickers will be detained under the Preventive Detention Act, officials said.
